LightFeather respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Please read it alongside our Terms of Use.

Scope of this policy.

This policy applies to information collected through lightfeather.io and other public LightFeather web surfaces that link to it (together, the “Site”). It describes the practices of LIGHTFEATHER IO LLC and its affiliates (“LightFeather,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

It does not govern information you provide to third parties, information handled through separate services or portals with their own notices, or, as described below, information we process on behalf of our government and commercial clients under contract.

Information you provide to us

We collect the information you choose to give us, for example when you:

• Complete a contact or “Let’s Talk” form, or email us: typically your name, organization, email address, and the contents of your message.
• Apply for a role or express interest in a career with us, such as your name, contact details, resume, work history, and any information you include in your application.
• Subscribe to updates or otherwise communicate with us.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, which may include your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies described below.

How we use information.

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and provide information you request;
• Evaluate and manage employment applications and recruiting;
• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
• Understand how visitors use the Site through aggregated analytics;

Cookies and analytics.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to operate the Site and to remember your cookie choices. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, uses cookies to generate aggregated statistics about Site usage, such as which pages are visited and how visitors move through the Site. We have configured it so that its analytics cookies do not load until you consent through our cookie banner, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking. Managing your choices

When you first visit the Site, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” control, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Declining analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the Site.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for it, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

How we share information.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, and recruiting), bound by obligations to protect the information and use it only for those services.
• Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of LightFeather, our clients, or others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Your privacy rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to appeal a denial of such a request. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, such as California, Virginia, Colorado, and others, may have additional rights. We do not use your information for “sales” or cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under those laws.

Visitors outside the United States.

The Site is operated in the United States and intended for a U.S. audience. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.

Data security.

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention.

We retain information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Children’s privacy.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Third-party links.

The Site may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
